Federal government breaks record with $120B to small businesses

Cash is king in any small business, and the best way to get cash into your business is from your customers. The SBA announced in June that the federal government doled out over $120 billion in contracts to small businesses in the U.S. The federal government takes great pride in awarding contracts to small business and specifics groups (Disadvantaged Businesses, Disabled/Veteran Owned, Women Owned, and HubZone), so if you meet one or more of these criteria you have a leg up on many of your larger competitors. Many times the federal government doesn’t award contracts to  small business or designated disadvantages groups simply because none apply.
